The funeral of the late SAMUEL ABRAHAM ALLEYNE takes place on Thursday 26th September 2024 at St David’s Anglican Church, St David’s, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10.00 am for a service of Thanksgiving and the burial.
The organist and members of the choir are asked to attend. Follow the live stream on KMJ Transport & Funeral Services Facebook page.
Flowers may be delivered to the home of KMJ Transport & Funeral Services, #4 Bridge Gap, Goodland, St Michael not later than 8.00 am on Thursday.
There will be no viewing of the body.

Never imagine that Sam would go this way. Enjoyed our Wattsapp messages every day and night even if I did not respond the said day. The encouragement about life and keeping healty and putting God first. Happy I got to see him after such along time on my recent visit to Bim and was looking foward to seeing him again soon. God k own best but never realise I would miss you like I am . Tears flow when I remember you bro The picture we took will be my treasure. Sleep peacefully bro as we live in hope to reunite one day. My condolences to the family of my friend Sam, became friends when he played for Dover Cricket Club back in the 80’s up until his untimely death. I know he accepted Christ as his saviour and was never shy to say so .Therefore he is in a better place

I would be remiss if I did not offer my sincere condolences to the grieving family and friends. First let me say, to us who grew up with Samuel he was known as John Alleyne. I am certain that lots of persons are only now finding out that his name was Samuel and not John. John attended St.Davids’ boys and became one of our headmaster, the late WW Blackman, favourites. The other being the late Louis Weekes. John was an affable guy. The physical characteristics I remember was that moon face with the broad smile and those eyes like he just got out of bed. Additionally, you could spot him from a mile away with his trade mark walk. He came from that hot bed of cricket, Boarded Hall, which produced so many great players. After St.Davids John went on the the defunct Federal High school. After school he worked at the Mental Hospital I believe as a male nurse before going to the Cayman Islands to be a policeman. Having left Barbados almost 50 years ago I lost track of John but heard that in the last few years he made it his business to pay his respects to many of his peers by attending their going home service. When I heard what had befallen him I prayed that he would pull through but that was not to be. We all shall miss you John. Take care until we meet again on the other side.
