  1. Alex,
I remember the day I met you—your vibrant light and energy filled any space you were in. You were my number one supporter from day one when I opened my business. You clearly loved to eat, and you loved my food—even comparing it as second best only to your granny’s. Whenever my menu went out, you were always the first to order—even placing side orders of whole cakes instead of just a slice, lol.
You never judged me or discouraged me from trying new recipes. You were always eager to be the first to get your hands on a plate. And when I needed constructive criticism or advice, you were always there—offering wisdom that will stick with me for a lifetime. You were my listening ear without judgment, staying up till 2 a.m. just to talk.
Your soul was pure and genuine, with a heart of gold. I remember talking to you just a few days before the tragedy—you told the kids you’d be coming back up in a month or so, and they were so looking forward to seeing Uncle Alex again.
You are deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to your family during this difficult time. Love from your Canadian family. May you sleep eternally in peace, until we meet again.
